Officially announced on Friday September 21, 2012 HC Alpine team manager Anthony Leutenegger has stepped down as the Canadian national coach after 3 seasons.
The last national season was one of Canada's best finishing in 11th place, close to his ultimate goal of a top 10 finish. "I was really proud of the boys at the end, our last 2 races we podium really boosting us from that 15th spot we are usually stuck in."
I am getting older and don't have the passion I once had, 3 seasons is enough and i have always said that one manager should not hold the position for too long. Squiffy from team Squiffinator has really been coming strong in OCM and deserves a shot. I wish him luck.
